PURPOSE: A motor protection device is provided to protect a motor by sensing an operation suppress or overload state of a motor rotator and an error due to a leakage of a cooling gas. CONSTITUTION: The first switch is connected to a circuit for supplying a power to a motor and has a thermal induction operating part(8). The first switch controls the power supply circuit according to a motion of the thermal induction operating part. The second switch is connected to the power supply circuit and has the first and second thermal induction operating parts(11,13) for controlling the power supply circuit. The first and second switches are electrically connected in series, and operating temperatures of the thermal induction operating parts of the second switch are different from each other.
