PURPOSE: A method is provided to prevent an ink feeding vessel of a printer from being stolen by installing an ink feeding vessel protecting device to prevent the ink feeding vessel from being detached from the printer. CONSTITUTION: An ink feeding vessel detaching mode is selected(S10). Then, a password is inputted into a printer(S20). Upon receiving password data, a control section compares the inputted pass word with a predetermined password, which is preset in the printer(S30). If the inputted pass word matches with the predetermined password, a locking mode of an ink feeding vessel protecting device is released(S40). If the inputted pass word is different from the predetermined password, an alarm sound is generated(S50). The ink feeding vessel detaching mode is inputted through an input device of a computer connected to the printer.
