PURPOSE: A height adjustable gas cylinder is provided to assemble parts accurately and repair conveniently, and to cut down expenses by simplifying the structure of a control valve and a piston. CONSTITUTION: A height adjustable gas cylinder is composed of outer and inner cylindrical bodies; a piston rod having a piston dividing the inner body into a first chamber and a second chamber; a cap having a through hole; a control valve(160) regulating gas in outer and inner bodies; and a button operating the control valve. The control valve consists of a closed protrusion(161b), a valve pin(161) moved down by the button, a lower sleeve(162), a middle sleeve(163), and an upper sleeve(164). Expenses and assembling process are reduced with forming and assembling the control valve of the gas cylinder simply. Failure rate is reduced, and accuracy is improved with checking the control valve visually.
