PURPOSE: An ink jet printer and a method for adjusting heating voltage of the same are provided to properly maintain the ambient temperature of an ink cartridge by adjusting heating voltage of the ink jet printer. CONSTITUTION: An ink jet printer includes an ink cartridge(11), a temperature sensing section(12), a control circuit section(13), a heating voltage adjusting section(14) and a heating voltage supplying section(15). The temperature sensing section(12) detects the ambient temperature of the ink cartridge(11) so as to transmit temperature data to the control circuit section(13). The control circuit section(13) has a plurality of nodes. The heating voltage adjusting section(14) includes a plurality of transistors, a plurality of resistors, and a variable resistor. When an output value of the node is high, the transistor is turned on. When the output value of the node is low, the transistor is turned off.
