METHOD FOR ANALYZING CLAY CONTENTS IN SOIL BY USING SPECTROPHOTOMETER

PURPOSE: A method for analyzing clay contents in a soil is provided to precisely and rapidly measure the clay contents in the soil regardless of a space restriction by using a spectrophotometer. CONSTITUTION: A sample is dispersed by mixing a soil with a dispersing agent. After the sample is dispersed, the dispersing agent is added to suspension liquid so that the suspension liquid is diluted. Then, plural clay ores are added to suspension liquid in such a manner that suspension liquid has a superior light absorption property. Then, standard liquid is prepared by repeating the dilution process. After measuring a light absorption degree of standard liquid, a graph is made by connecting points indicating absorption degree of standard liquid. Then, a cell is inserted into a spectrophotometer. A triangular flask filled up with the sample is shaken up and down so as to inject the sample into the cell. Then, the clay content in the soil is measured by measuring the amount of clay using the measured light absorption degree and the graph.
