REMOVING METHOD OF MACRO BUBBLE IN SOL-GEL PROCESS

PURPOSE: A method for removing the macro bubble generated during transferring of sol in the sol-gel process for the preparation of silica glass is provided, to improve the purity and quality of a molded product by removing the macro bubble effectively. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the step of applying the vacuum in the transfer path of the sol(11) to remove the macro bubble generated when the sol is transferred from a mixer(10) to a molder(16). The vacuum is applied and maintained by using the vacuum apparatus for applying the vacuum to the mixer. Preferably a filter(14) for removing the cohered particle is loaded in the transfer path, and the valve(15) behind the filter is closed and a vacuum pump(12) is operated when the vacuum is applied. Preferably the transfer path of the sol is made by using a hollow pipe(13).
