PURPOSE: A method for managing screen information using an XML(eXtensible Markup Language) is provided to reflect charged contents on screen information without changing a source code and executing a compiling operation although a DB of various kinds of data is changed when screen information is managed in a client system. CONSTITUTION: A DTD(Document Type Definition) file which defines with respect to a name, a hierarchy, and an attribute of an XML tag is created for maintaining a configuration and a maintenance of screen information(S1). An XML file for defining a screen form is created based on a standard defined in the DTD file(S2). In the case that a change request of screen information exists(S3), screen form of the created XML file is changed and defined and the corresponding XML file is updated(S4,S5). In the case that an inquiry request of data exists from a user(S6), a dynamic SQL(Structured Query Language) statement is created based on the XML file for displaying the inquiry result as screen information based on the screen form defined in the XML file(S7,S8).
