PURPOSE: Provided are a method for producing IgY against pancreatic amylase and a composition containing the same for inhibiting carbohydrate uptake. IgY directly inhibits the decomposition of carbohydrate and is thus useful for the improvement of obesity, and the prevention and treatment of diabetes. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing IgY against pancreatic amylase comprises the steps of: preparing IgY from the laying hen immunized by using pancreatic amylase protein as an antigen; and separating IgY from the egg obtained from the immunized laying hen.
