PURPOSE: An ultra fine titanium fiber and its preparation method are provided, wherein the ultra fine titanium fiber has a diameter of 10-1,000 nm and a length of 5-1,000 times of the diameter. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of mixing a titanium isopropoxide sol or gel with a thermoplastic resin solution to prepare a mixture solution; electro-spinning the mixture solution under a high voltage to prepare a composite fiber such that the thermoplastic resin surrounds titanium isopropoxide; and eluting the thermoplastic resin from the composite fiber by carbonization or by using a solvent. Preferably the titanium fiber has a diameter of 10-1,000 nm; the voltage of the electro-spinning is 5 kV or more; and the thermoplastic resin is poly(vinyl acetate), poly(vinyl alcohol), poly(lactic acid), polyamide, polyester or polypropylene.
