DISMANTLING APPARATUS FOR WIRE HARNESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily dismantle a wire harness.

SOLUTION: A cutting mechanism 20 which cuts an electric wire (w) of a wire harness is provided in the middle of path of a transportation conveyor of a holder 2 of the wire harness. To hold a wire harness W by the holder 2, the holder 2 is provided with a groove 3 into which the electric wire (w) of the wire harness is inserted so that a connector C connected to an electric wire end is locked by the periphery of the groove 3 for holding. Three types of grooves 3 are prepared which differ in groove width from among others in the holder 2. The most appropriate groove 3 which is easily inserted while hard to be drawn out in the insert direction after insertion is selected according to the outside diameter of the inserted electric wire (w). Colleting boxes 21, 23 for a connector C and the electric wire (w) that are cut and isolated are provided in the middle of the transportation path so that the connector C and the electric wire (w) are sorted at the same time when the wire harness W is cut, for improved efficiency in entire recycling operation.
