PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical product of which both refractive index and Abbe constant are high and which is further excellent in heat resistance and transparency. SOLUTION: The optical product is composed of a polymer obtained by using a cyclic disulfide compound containing at least a structure expressed by a general formula (1) or (2) as an indispensable component of a monomer and further having 50-85 wt.% sulfur content (in the formulas, X is a linkage having carbons and/or sulfurs as a skeleton and optionally includes a cyclic linkage and also the number of elements constituting X is 1-4).
