<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable suction of components by a plurality of suction nozzles arranged on head units and effective recognition of each of the chucked components, and constitute the whole mounter in a compact structure. <P>SOLUTION: This surface mounter is equipped with the head units 5A, 5B movably installed along an X-axis guide, a head unit operating means, a work station for receiving a substrate from a carrier line and moving it in a Y-axis direction, a component supplying parts 4 in which component taking-out parts of a plurality of feeders are arranged below an X-axis guide, and a recognizing means. Especially, the surface mounter is equipped with two couples of Y-axis guides 8 and two work stations 6A, 6B which are movable along each of the Y-axis guides. The component supplying parts 4 are arranged in four portions on both sides of the Y-axis direction of the carrier line and both sides of the X-axis direction, in a part where the respective Y-axis guides 8 stretch outside the carrier line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
