PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly measure spread quantity of chemical or the like spread per seedling box in case of uniformly spreading the chemical while continuously transferring the seedling boxes N. SOLUTION: A measuring box 1 is disposed in a seedling box N as illustrated in drawing 2 (a), and chemical or the like is spread while the seedling boxes N are continuously transferred. The chemical or the like spread in the measuring box 1 is collected and measured as illustrated in drawing (b) to be converted into spread quantity per seedling box. The measuring box 1 has an up-directed opening part 2, and cylindrical measuring pockets 3 having scales are formed on side walls 2a and 2b at the front and the back of the opening part 2. The scale on the measuring pocket 3 may indicate apparent volume of the chemical or the like, or indicate the apparent volume as converted into mass. In case of the latter, provision of scales of different conversion coefficients on the respective measuring pockets is useful. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
