PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger 10 with improved strength of both short side parts 14, 16 of a flat tube 11 and having the flat tube 11 with improved assembling workability to a header 13. SOLUTION: One plate material is bent to form the flat tube 11 having a substantially rectangular section, and the plate material is folded so that the board thickness of both end parts 14, 16 of the short side of the flat tube 11 is three times as large as the thickness of the plate material. The contour of both end parts 14, 16 of the short side of the flat tube 11 are formed symmetrical with each other. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
