摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alignment layer which is provided with high alignment regulating force to target molecules and wherein a defect brought on an element or the like when the alignment layer is formed is hardly caused. SOLUTION: The alignment layer 40 (60) is arranged so that a second alignment layer 42 formed on the first alignment layer 41, has uniform in-plane anisotropy more than that of the first alignment layer and aligned along the surface alignment of the first alignment layer. The first alignment layer 41 is formed from e.g. a polyimide alignment layer having rubbing density of≤200 and the second alignment layer 42 is formed by an ion deposition method using an acrylic monomer as a deposition material.
