PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a user's convenience by integrally operating and distributing an electronic information form, a bookbinding form and a reading form of a book in a society having an electronic information communication network such as the Internet. SOLUTION: When requesting an explanation of a chapter or section unit about an examined term, a user inputs 'TCP' as a keyword in a search word inputting means 311 and uses a search word input defining and search starting means 312 to make a search. A content search selecting means 317 is used for a search of tables of contents, and an index searching means 318 is used for an index search for searching indexes for, for example, an explanation of a few words or of one sentence to several paragraphs about an examined term. In an examination for an explanation of a chapter or section unit, if a search of an electronic book information storing means 11 results in a plurality of candidate documents and they are limited to some few documents, a visit to a bookstore can be an opportunity to examine shortly the limited candidate books.
