PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data acquisition mediating device suitable for solving inconvenience such as falling in an unoperable state without deteriorating certainty for providing service in a special terminal specialized in special use. SOLUTION: This proxy server 200 acquires a Web page from a WWW server 100 according to an acquisition request, detects a specific acquisition request from the Web page when the specific acquisition request is included in the acquired Web page, determines whether or not an applet on the detected specific acquisition request exists in the WWW server 100, and transmits a substituting page of the effect of being nonexistent in the applet to a terminal of a requester instead of the Web page when non-existence of the applet on the specific acquisition request included in the Web page it is determined on the acquired Web page.
