摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel apparatus superior in detection accuracy of a touch position which is capable of preventing degradation in the detection accuracy of the touch position, resulting from external factors such as temporal changes in characteristics of a conductive film, unique factors of a touch panel apparatus and continual movement of the touch position. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with an electrode of the conductive film periphery on a touch panel surface, a resistor through a switch arranged between one end with an AC current generation means for supplying an AC current to the electrode, and a current instrumentation means arranged between the electrode and AC current generation means. With respect to a touch position calculated value based on a touch signal, there is provided the function which improves the detection accuracy of the touch position when the touch signal is detected continually (a step S87), in addition to the functions for performing correction by using a self-correction value obtained on the basis of an offset voltage V<SB>f</SB>, and a voltage V<SB>0</SB>at both ends of a current instrumentation means in switch-on for correcting the temporal variation in a resistance value of the conductive film (... a step S80). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p>
