PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone with which a user can have a talk in handsfree manner so that the user can easily confirm a memo and a document. SOLUTION: A foldable telephone is provided with an extendable/contractable outer frame. When the extendable/contractable outer frame is contracted such that the user can hear the voice of the opposite party well and the user have a talk with the extendable/contractable outer frame hung on an ear, the user reduces the burden of a hand even in a telephone call for a long time, takes a note more easily and conveniently confirms a document or the like, freely using the both hands.
