PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To providing an instruction system for learning a Kanji (Chinese character) enabling adequate instructions to a Kanji learner by evaluating the inputted Kanji by fine criteria. SOLUTION: In a model Kanji database 3, a model Kanji is divided into a plurality of segments and parameters are set up on the whole model Kanji and the segments. A calculating means 9 is provided with a recognition means 7 for recognizing inputted Kanji data, a dividing means 4, a judging means 5, and an evaluation means 6. The dividing means 4 divides the inputted Kanji data into segments and judges the parameters. The judging means 5 makes the segments of the model Kanji and the inputted Kanji correspond to each other and compares them.
