PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of fogging and image erasure by interior illuminating light in handling a stimulable phosphor sheet in a bright room. SOLUTION: The handling plate 10 is formed by providing a light shielding plate 11 of a size at which the detecting surface of the stimulable phosphor sheet 20 having a magnetic material layer in addition to a stimulable phosphor layer can be covered over the entire surface with a magnetization layer 12 to be magnetically attracted to the magnetic material layer and the handling plate 10 is handled by attracting and holding the sheet 20 on the handling plate.
