Roller shutter (2) is made from a semi-rigid material with a shape memory effect so that it coils up in the rest position round a cylindrical drum (3), to which the inner end (4) of the shutter is fastened. The shutter is unrolled by a motorized drum or by a drive applying traction to its free end (5) straighten it, and it rolls up again automatically when released.
