PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting facility capable of obtaining uniform and good- quality slow cooling slag at high efficiency. SOLUTION: Molten slag discharged from a melting furnace outlet 8 is accumulated in a slag reservoir part 16, and scattering dust such as fly ash discharged from the melting furnace outlet 8 and not reaching the post stage is penetrated into the molten slag in the slag reservoir part 16 to heighten the recovery rate of slag. Besides, radiating heat from the melting furnace outlet 8 is used as heat for keeping the temperature of the molten slag of the slag reservoir 16 to keep the molten slag of the slag reservoir part 16 in a favorable state. When a designated quantity of the molten slag is accumulated in the slag reservoir part 16, the designated quantity of the molten slag is discharged by opening an opening and closing device 17, and the designated quantity of the molten slag is accommodated and conveyed to a designated position by a conveyer 5 to be slowly cooled, whereby the slow cooling condition is always kept constant.
