<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anisotropic magnetic powder which has a maximum energy product, displays stable magnetic characteristics, and is excellent in productivity and processability and an anisotropic bonded magnet. <P>SOLUTION: This anisotropic magnetic powder is composed of particles structured into a composite having hard magnetic phases and soft magnetic phases of the order of nanometers in scale, and the hard magnetic phases and the soft magnetic phases are each 5 to 2,000 nm in length and 5 to 200 nm in width and thickness. The particles having the hard magnetic phases are formed of R-Fe-B alloys, wherein R is an element selected from rare earth elements containing Y, and the particles having the soft magnetic phases are formed of Fe-M alloys or Fe-N alloys, wherein Fe or M is an element selected out of Co, Ni, and Mn. The anisotropic bonded magnet is formed of a mixture of the anisotropic magnetic powder and thermosetting resin or thermoplastic resin, and the mixture is bonded to the anisotropic bonded magnet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
