PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus for broadening security countermeasures against illegitimate use of the communication apparatus after it is stolen or the like and to provide a theft preventing method for the communication apparatus and a program thereof.

SOLUTION: The communication apparatus is configured to comprise: means 111, 112 for receiving sound and analog/digital converting the sound into a digital signal; a talker collation means 114 for collating the digital signal with voice data of a particular talker registered in advance and producing a collation score; a discrimination means 116 for calculating an accumulated value of the collation score and discriminating whether or not the particular taker uses the apparatus on the basis of the accumulated value of the collation score that is calculated; storage means 115, 117 for storing information such as voice data referenced for the collation and storing the accumulated value of the collation score referenced for the discrimination; an illegitimate use information transmission means 119 for transmitting information indicative of suspect of illegitimate use to an apparatus of a prescribed notice destination when the result of discrimination indicates that the apparatus is used by other party than the particular talker; and means 113, 120 for making transmission/reception with an external apparatus.
