PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a windshield for a microphone with an excellent acoustic characteristic, excellent water-proof performance and electrostatic shield effect. SOLUTION: The windshield for a microphone is formed by a conductive water repellent agent: resulting from blending conductive particles such as carbon to a high water repellent material comprising a mixture of 80±10 wt.% of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) powder with a molecular weight of about 8000 whose contact angle with respect to water is 100-degrees or more, 18±5 wt.% of vinylidene fluoride, and 2±1 wt.% of perfluoroether, which is diluted by butyl acetate and pulverized by a ball mill or similarly a mixture of 79±10 wt.% of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) powder with a molecular weight of about 8000, 18±5 wt.% of vinylidene fluoride, and 1.5±1 wt.% of perfluoroether and 0.5±1 wt.% of photocatalysis titanium dioxide particles, which is diluted by butyl acetate and pulverized by a ball mill; and coated to an inner wall face or a front face or the both of an opening of a sound transmitting material (hereinafter called a sound transmitting material) such as a foamed resin, textile, metallic net or unwoven cloth.
