PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for manufacturing a liquid crystal panel in which the used quantity of a liquid crystal can be reduced and infiltration of the liquid crystal to the outside of the area enclosed by a sealing material can be prevented. SOLUTION: An absorption member 43 is provided apart from a nozzle by at least 5 mm and covers the lower side of a cell. The absorption member 43 is allowed to be in contact with a strip panel P at least while a liquid crystal holding part 71 comes in contact with a liquid crystal injection port 50. Thereby, the liquid crystal flowing out from the liquid crystal injection port 50 when the liquid crystal is injected can be absorbed by the absorption member. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
