<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of a focus error signal for detecting the focus position of light irradiating an optical information recording medium by making variation in the intensity of directed light having passed through a grating as an optical coupling means of an optical integrated device even if the light passing through the grating varies in wavelength when a semiconductor laser beam of wavelength λ is used. <P>SOLUTION: The optical integrated device which is used for an optical pickup device receiving light reflected by an optical disk 1 is constituted by laminating the grating 6 which generates directed light and transmitted light from the reflected light and an optical waveguide which propagates the directed wave: and the grating 5 comprises a 1st part optimized to one wavelength of the reflected light, a 2nd part optimized to a wavelength longer than the one wavelength of the reflected light, and a 3rd part optimized to a wavelength shorter than the one wavelength of the reflected light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
