<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle sharing system by which a lease certificate of the vehicle is computerized and the lease certificate can be displayed on an on-vehicle display device and a display means of a portable communication terminal at optional timing. <P>SOLUTION: This system stores vehicle reservation by a user in advance and identifies the user by making the user present an IC card when the user uses the reserved vehicle. When the user is confirmed as an authenticated member and who makes the reservation, the system instructs the vehicle to unlock doors and to display the lease certificate via a radio communication network and an on-vehicle machine mounted on the vehicle. In this case, pieces of information about start of use of the vehicle, etc., are transmitted from the on-vehicle machine to the system via the radio communication network.
