<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar device capable of detecting a target object highly sensitively up to a far spot without enhancing greatly the output of an electromagnetic wave generator, and detecting accurately even if the direction of an antenna is fluctuated or the target object approaches the periphery of the antenna by being loaded on a moving body or the like. <P>SOLUTION: While radiating an electromagnetic wave from the antenna with narrow directivity such as a pencil beam, the antenna is rotated around an axis having the vertical direction as the main component and the main face of the antenna is moved in the vertical direction, to thereby detect existence of an object and/or the position of the object. As the means for moving in the vertical direction, for example, the antenna 3 is rotated by a first motor 8 around a first axis A and the antenna 3 is rotated by a second motor 11 around a second axis B forming an angle ofθwith the first axis A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
