<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the loads of relay networks in a broadband network system. <P>SOLUTION: In the edge broadband access repeater for connecting a trunk communication network connected to the server of a telecommunication provider (ISP) and a subscriber network connected with a user terminal via the relay networks, the device is provided with a database part having a first table for uniquely setting a user ID and a password beforehand and a second table for uniquely setting an ISP and a virtual local area network (VLAN) beforehand, an extraction part for extracting the user ID the password and the address of the Ethernet(R) of a transmission source from data transmitted from the terminal of a user, a selection part for authenticating the password and identifying a VLAN tag number corresponding to the ISP, an operation part for adding/ deleting the VLAN tag to/from an Ethernet(R) frame on the basis of the instruction of the selection part, and a switch part for distributing the data for each terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
