PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-distortion method for uplink for a telecommunication system comprising a base station and at least one user. SOLUTION: Each symbol of the user is spread with a coding sequence over a plurality of carriers to produce a plurality of frequency components corresponding to the carriers of a signal (Si(t)) to be transmitted over an uplink transmission channel to the base station. Each frequency component is weighted by a weighting coefficient (ωi(l)), the weighting coefficient is determined from a downlink channel response coefficient (hi(l)) at the frequency corresponding to the carriers and from a value of the noise variance (σ2) affecting the carriers.
