PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection tool capable of determining the size of a defect of a painted surface speedily and correctly. SOLUTION: The upper half part of a tool body 1 is a cylindrical part 1a and the lower half part is a skirt part 1b, and a transparent board 3 for inspection is detachably attached to an opening part at the lower end of the skirt part 1b. A defective size determining part 6 and a scale 7 are printed on the transparent board 3 for inspection, and determining parts 6a-6f are formed in the defective size determining part 6 as continuous multiple steps with the space between two lines as the space for determination.
