PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve conventional problem of a restricted operation during a transcription standby condition from a prearranged transcription start time, and to wait for the reception of a broadcast program start identification code and an ID for a desired program stored in program-related information. SOLUTION: When a CPU 18 determines from a recording reservation list and an EPG that the broadcasting start time of the program of interest for prearranged transcription is positioned due to prolongation of a preceding professional baseball program broadcast, the CPU 18 controls an extension detector 17 to connect to a predetermined Web site through the Internet. The CPU 18 then judges the game condition substantially in real time based on the line broadcast data of the current service obtained by the extension detector 17 from the Web site. Depending on such a situation that a predetermined maximum extension time has elapsed before completion of the game or the game has not completed within maximum extension time, the CPU 18 controls a DVR 13 by changing the transcription start time and the transcription completion time initially confirmed for prearranged transcription of the program to the times according to broadcast schedule rearrangement estimation.
