PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material which ensures a small variation of photographic performance even at high temperature and high humidity, does not cause inhibition of development and further ensures a reduced effect of a change in production conditions on photographic performance in production. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material contains a compound represented by the formula [A<SP>+</SP>-L-B].(Y)<SB>n</SB>wherein A<SP>+</SP>is a cationic group; L is a linking group which links A<SP>+</SP>and B together; B is a reducing group (when the reducing group represented by B is hydroxyureas, the molecular weight of the compound represented by the formula except a counter ion represented by Y is≥280, and when the reducing group represented by B is hydrazine, the group represented by A<SP>+</SP>is pyridinio, imidazolio, quinolinio or isoquinolinio); Y is a counter ion for charge balance; and n is a number necessary for charge balance.
