REFLECTIVE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of pinholes generation in respective heat treatment steps of manufacture of a liquid crystal display element caused by moisture accumulated in an uneven resin film and an inorganic film in the reflective liquid crystal display element.

SOLUTION: The reflective liquid crystal display element comprises a first substrate having a transparent electrode pattern 15 without any thin film active element formed thereon, a second substrate provided with a reflection film 18 between a transparent electrode pattern 15 without any thin film active element and a lower substrate 19 and a liquid crystal 16 sealed in between the first and second substrates. At least a silicon nitride film 21 and the inorganic film are formed between the uneven resin film 20 and the inorganic film on the lower substrate 19 of the second substrate 19.
