PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC stabilizing power unit which can get output voltage of high power efficiency and little noise or ripple and can change its output voltage, according to the operational situation of the load circuit and the destination of power supply and can arrange its output voltage not to change largely even at change of that output voltage. SOLUTION: This DC stabilizing power unit is so constituted as to convert the power voltage VA from a DC power source 7 into output voltage VB with a switching regulator 2 and further to convert that output voltage VB with a switching regulator 3 into output voltage VC prior to output. In the case of dropping the output voltage VC, this drops the output voltage VB to the switching regulator 2 after having dropped the output voltage VC to the series regulator 3. In the case of raising the output voltage, this raises the output voltage VC to the series regulator 3 after having raised the output voltage VB to the switching regulator 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
