Mesostructured or ordered mesoporous compounds comprise a mineral phase of alumina in which crystalline particles of a compound of cerium, titanium or zirconium are dispersed, and presenting a chemical homogeneity such that the domains of heterogeneity are no more than 100 nm2. Independent claims are also included for the preparation of the material and its use.
