PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a text group retrieval device that retrieve a text group according to group uniqueness and its method. SOLUTION: The text group retrieval device comprises a data set holding part 10 for holding a data set including a plurality of text data pieces, a text group creation part 11 for automatically sorting the received data set by the data on a sorting target text field, a text group holding part 12 for holding the output of the text group creation part 11, a text group uniqueness calculation part 13 for calculating the uniqueness of text groups, a text group output part 14 for outputting each text group according to the uniqueness of the text group, an attribute information input part 15 for accepting an assignment of a plurality of attribute information items used in the group uniqueness calculation, and a text group input part 16 for accepting an assignment of a text group used in the group uniqueness calculation.
