PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector that can cope with a plug having a moving section in the part to be inserted into the connector. SOLUTION: The connector 21 is capable of insertion and removal of a plug 11 having a male engaging section 13 and a moving section 15 that is movable with respect to the male engaging section 13. The connector 21 includes a plug fixing member 22 for fixing the male engaging section 13 of the plug 11 when the moving section 15 is shifted in a plug insertion direction with the insertion of the plug 11, and for releasing the male engaging section thus fixed when the moving section 15 is shifted in a plug removal direction.
