PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently cool the optical elements of a projector apparatus. SOLUTION: The optical elements 15 of the projector apparatus 11 comprising dichroic prisms DP, liquid crystal panels LC-R and LC-B, and polarizing plates 18 and 19 are attached to a main frame 21. An air outlet 26 is formed at the main frame 21. A fan 35 and the air outlet 26 are connected to each other by a duct 36. A cooling surface section 37 of a Peltier element 33 is exposed and arranged in the duct 36. A heat sink 40 is attached to a heat radiation surface section 38 of the Peltier element 33.
