The anti-roll device comprises a transverse torsion bar (1) able to rotate in supports (2,3) fixed under the vehicle suspension. At each end of the bar is a longitudinal arm (B,Ba) with its furthest end from the bar connected by connections (4,5) to a wheel support (S,Sa). This arm has a section with a vertical bending resistance which varies according to its angular orientation. A control (C) is provided in order to modify the arm orientation in the vertical direction.
