<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an insertion detection switch in which conductivity failure of a joint part can be reduced in a card connector, and a card connector equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The card connector is provided with a card insertion detection switch 8 equipped with a pair of contact members 8a, 8b, wherein one of contact member 8a has a pressurizing part 8c on which a card is abutted at the depth of at least one card insertion port 7, and wherein contact members 8a, 8b of one side or another side has an eaves part 8d to cover the contact part of the mutual contact members. By this, reduction of conductivity failure by adhesion of dust or trash can be aimed at because the eaves part covers the joint part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
