PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning system in a mobile communication network for protecting the privacy of a user using a mobile apparatus being a positioning object and protecting in particular the privacy of the user even in the case of a positioning request from another network to the mobile apparatus belonging to the present network. SOLUTION: A positioning gateway apparatus of the present network stores the privacy setting information of a mobile apparatus belonging to the present network, a positioning request from a client apparatus belonging to the other network to the mobile apparatus belonging to the present network passes through the positioning gateway apparatus of the present network (step 4), the privacy setting of the mobile apparatus being the positioning object is confirmed at positioning request and at positioning result notice (steps 5 and 11), and positioning processing and positioning result notice processing are performed only when the positioning request and the positioning notice are permitted.
