PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a damage of a latching piece formed in a leader tape in order to control a rewinding limit in a single reel type magnetic tape cartridge provided with the leader tape to an extension end of a magnetic tape. SOLUTION: Stoppers 13 which catch the latching pieces 12 formed in an excessive edge side of the leader tape 4 are provided in a tape pullout part 5 of a main body case 1. The stoppers 13 are formed as other bodies than the main body case 1 and post-installed in the main body case 1. When the latching pieces 12 hit a stopper 123, the stoppers 13 themselves are elastically deformed so that the hitting impact is absorbed and reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
