PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for supporting designing operation for a bit map font for display on a character display device. SOLUTION: The bit map font display device is equipped with a bit map font read-in means which reads in a file including recorded information on one or more bit map fonts to be displayed, a display setting means which accepts settings concerned with information regarding a dot pattern for displaying a bit map font and information regarding a display style, and a display means for displaying the read-in bit map font on the set dot pattern in the set display style.
