Systems and methods are described for distributed shared memory management. A method includes receiving a request from a requesting software to allocate a segment of memory (301); scanning a data structure for a smallest suitable class size (302), the data structure including a list of memory address size classes, each memory address size class having a plurality of memory addresses; determining whether the smallest suitable size class is found (303); if the smallest class size is found, determining whether memory of the smallest suitable size class is available in the data structure (307); if the smallest suitable size class is found, and if memory of the smallest suitable class is available, returning the memory address to the requesting software (309). |
