The invention relates to a playback device which is connected to a device for playing CDs or records, whereby the latter provide said coded information which enables control of the playback devices. Additional functions can also be controlled as well as the play back speed, e.g. selection of elements from a list, especially a music archive, or a determination of skip marks or the control of software modules or the length of audio-loops or a continuous modification of parameters, especially audio-effect-parameters, such as volume, filtering, flanger, echo, delay, or playback control of video sequences or parameters of video-sequences, especially colour, resolution, or parameters and positioning of objects in computer games. |
