A medical pressure-sensitive adhesive composition which is satisfactory in strippability and adhesiveness and reduced in skin irritation and has excellent suitability for reapplication; a process for producing the composition; and a medical tape. The medical tape comprises a base and a layer formed thereon from a medical pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing an acrylic polymer and an acrylic oligomer, wherein the layer has been obtained by crosslinking with a crosslinking agent an intermediate composition comprising an acrylic polymer having crosslinkable functional groups and an acrylic oligomer containing 10 to 40 mol% monomer units derived from a vinyl monomer having a lactam ring, the acrylic polymer having a number-average molecular weight of 300,000 to 1,500,000, the acrylic oligomer having a number-average molecular weight of 1,000 to 10,000, and the amount of the acrylic oligomer being 50 to 700 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the acrylic polymer. |
