<p>Conventionally, there is a case that a data reproduction is delayed in reproducing a still image file. A video recording/reproducing apparatus includes a recording unit (103), a recording control unit (108), a reproduction control unit (109), and a pickup (111) for detecting a defective ECC block having an error relating to file write to an optical disc (110), which is performed on an ECC block as a recording unit, deciding a position of an alternative ECC block corresponding to the detected defective ECC block considering its position, and rewriting the data written in the defective ECC block corresponding to the alternative ECC block into the alternative ECC block whose position has been decided.</p> |
